Tubos India is one of the large manufacturers for high quality Galvanized Iron Pipe. These pipe are widely used for conveying raw water & distribution of treated water in majority of rural water areas, where the requirement of water is less. Mostly medium quality Galvanized Iron are used. The Galvanized Iron are cheaper, lighter in weight and easy to handle & transport & easy to join them. Galvanized Iron sizes vary from range 15mm to 150mm. The Galavanized Iron are generally manufactured conforming to IS-1239 (pt-I) 1990. Generally screwed & socketed pipes are used. The Galvanized Iron welded Pipes shall be manufactured from hot rolled steel strip for welded pipes conforming to IS 10748 or Cold-rolled low carbon steel sheets and strips conforming to IS 513.
The welded galvanized steel are then passed through sizing sections where any dimensional deviation are being corrected. The Galvanized Iron are then cutted into desired lengths by automatic cutting machines. Galvanized Iron are then pressure tested for any leaks. The varnishing and galvanization of pipes are done as per specific requirements. Also Galvanization is a process in which steel or iron is coated with a layer of zinc to protect them from rusting or corrosion.
