Tubos India is one of the large manufacturers for high quality Ductile Iron Pipe. Ductile Iron is also called as Nodular Cast Iron or Spheroidal graphite iron. It was invented in year 1949. This Iron retains the corrosion resistance of cast iron but has more than twice the tensile strength [Cast Iron- 180 MPa (min), Ductile Iron - 420 MPa (min)]. The main differences between Ductile iron and Cast iron is the shape of the graphite in the microstructure of the metal. Ductile Iron is structurally stronger and shock-proof.
Ductile Spun Iron Pipes are made from ductile iron which is known for their high tensile strength, corrosion resistance, ductility and impact resistance. Ductile Iron Pipes are used for water and waste water transportation. Ductile pipes are available in the size range of DN 100 – DN 2200.
