API 5CT L80 Oil Casing Pipe
Tubos India is one of the large manufacturers for high quality API 5CT L80 Pipes. API 5CT grade L80 steel belongs to group of corrosion resistant casing. API L80 oil field Pipe contains L80-1, L80-9Cr, and L80-13Cr. API L80-1 used in H2S environment, while L80-9Cr & L80-13Cr are used in the CO2 environment.
In corrosion environment in which carbon-dioxide predominates, due to which Super 13Cr has a higher corrosion resistance than L80-13Cr. API 5CT L80 is less frequent than J55, N80 and other materials in exploitation of oil and gas.

Inspection
Physical properties are checked and each length hydrostatically tested, normally to only 3,000 psi in the plain end (unthreaded) condition. The following are also checked:

- Dimensions
- Lengths
Part of this inspection is to drift all lengths.
Despite all the American Petroleum Institute (API) specifications and testing, some tubing defects are still found after delivery; thus, some operators do further inspection.

API 5CT L80 Casing Tubing Features
- API 5CT L80 Casing Tubing is offered with a free length range from 8m to 13m on basis of the SY/T6194-96 norm. However, it is also available no less than 6m length and its quantity should be no more than 20%.
- Deformations which mentioned above are not allowed to appear on the outer surface of API 5CT L80 Casing Tubing coupling.
- Any deformation such as hairline, separation, crease, crack or scab is not acceptable on both inner and outer surfaces of the product. All these defects should be completely removed and the removed depth must not exceed 12.5% of nominal wall thickness.
- The surface of thread of coupling and API 5CT L80 Casing Tubing should be smooth without any tear, burr or other defects that may have a negative impact on the strength and close connection.
